In 2010 the sky ripped open above Eindhoven Rock City. Four musicians came thundering down, surrounded by ferocious looking thunderbolts and the roar of a thousand gods.
Their mission? To scorch the earth with a brutal mix of sludge, stoner and metal.
Komatsu was born with a surefire determination to never look back.

Over the years they've released an EP and four albums, refining and perfecting their signature earthquake-inducing low end rumble and grinding, ear-shattering overall sound. That hasn't been left unnoticed. Quite the contrary. Their unique approach unabashedly destroyed the stoner community by way of bulldozing it to smithereens (both fans and press), resulting in opening slots for bands like Truckfighters, Karma to Burn, Clutch, Nashville Pussy, High on Fire, Corrosion of Conformity, Brant Bjork and Baroness, while also infusing the after party of Queens of the Stone Age's show at the Effenaar in Eindhoven with a highly addictive cocktail of sweat and gasoline. High profile European tours with Duel, The Freeks, John Garcia and Mondo Generator followed, the latter of which completed a personal challenge set out by the band and fulfilled a big dream: sharing the stage with all original Kyuss members. Even fans in Brazil were gobsmacked by their rupturing grooves and heart-ripping energy, resulting in various tours over there.

And now they end up in 2025 with a brand new album. For recording the music they went into Tarwesound with legendary producer Pieter G. Kloos, while the vocals were recorded at Bootleg Recordings by Peter van Elderen. Mixing and mastering were done by Pieter Kloos at The Void Studio.

The new album will be released through Heavy Psych Sounds on April 11th 2025. It's Komatsu's first outing after being trimmed down to a three-piece in 2024 and their most dynamic yet. Sure, it's still crushing skulls with a sonic sledgehammer and makes you wish you'd have a tank proof armour installed to protect your eardrums, but it also shows some kind of sensitivity you haven't heard before from these bearded blokes. To cut it short: being reduced to three hasn't taken anything away from the band's pulverising grit. It just added some extra chemistry and breathing space that takes their sound to an even higher level. Something that might seem impossible, but it sure as hell ain't.

So, strap in and brace yourself for another assault of monstrous grooves - a hefty meal served with lots of bravado to start a new day. A day where Komatsu confirms they're one of the heaviest and most original bands in the stoner/sludge crossover scene. And once you've caught every blow, straightened every twist and managed to hit every turn, you realise you've just been served a breakfast for champions.

Exdirectory aus Köln bewegt sich irgendwo zwischen Psychedelic Rock und Stoner Rock, der auch immer wieder von Progressive Rock und Jazz Rock durchzogen ist. Sie sind immer auf der Suche, neue Klangwelten zu erkunden – Klangwelten, die von den Sounds der 60er & 70er bis hin zu Neo-Psychedelia reichen.

KODDER ist die neue Band von Friedemann dem Sänger und Mitbegründer von COR. Ein Punkrock Trio bestehend aus Stefanie Bass/Gesang, Arthur Drums und Friedemann Gitarre/Gesang. Es geht um die Idee von schonungsloser direkter Musik und von klarer Kante im Text und im Bandethos.
Von Eigenwilligkeit und vom „Unangepasst sein“, vom „Gegen den Strom schwimmen“ und sich nicht verbiegen lassen, egal von wem. Alles aus der Mode gekommene Eigenschaften in einer angepassten Welt, in der selbst die Subkultur als durchgestylte und kommerzialisierte Bewegung ihren Mitmachplatz gefunden hat.
Eine Zeit für Wut, eine Zeit um sich auszukotzen, eine gute Zeit für KODDER.
Gradliniger rauer Sound und Texte ohne Doppeldeutigkeit und Stadionrockselbstgefälligkeitsphatos zeichnen die 15 ersten Songs des im Frühjahr 2025 erscheinenden Debüts aus.

The Dirty Denims verbreiten seit 2006 eine Welle von Energie und Positivität unter den Rock'n'Roll-Fans weltweit. Ihr charakteristischer Happy Hardrock - eine Mischung aus Hard Rock, Rock'n'Roll, Punk Rock und Power Pop - hebt die Stimmung und startet die Party. Inspiriert von Bands wie AC/DC, KISS und Joan Jett, sprüht jeder Song vor positiver Energie. Deshalb ist diese Band live immer in Höchstform.
The Dirty Denims stammen aus den Niederlanden und haben sich ihren Weg in die Musikszene gebahnt. Nachdem sie auf den Bühnen renommierter niederländischer Festivals wie Lowlands, Rockin' Park, Zwarte Cross und Bospop gespielt und das Rampenlicht mit Ikonen wie Whitesnake, Airbourne, Extreme, Golden Earring, Cheap Trick, Steel Panther und Thundermother geteilt haben, hat die Band weltweit eine treue Anhängerschaft gewonnen.
Ihr Song '24-7-365' erhielt nationalen Airplay auf einem der größten Radiosender der Niederlande (3FM) sowie in der Fernsehsendung De Wereld Draait Door und fand seinen Weg in Folgen für Comedy Central in Schweden und Belgien. Der Song 'Back With A Bang!' wurde auf der Compilation-CD des Classic Rock Magazine UK-Ausgabe November 2017 (Auflage 70.000 Exemplare) vorgestellt. Im Jahr 2022 spielte die Band eine erfolgreiche Show für die deutsche Fernsehsendung WDR Rockpalast.
In den letzten Jahren lag der Fokus, insbesondere auf internationalen Auftritten, unter anderem mit Tourneen in Deutschland und Spanien. Mit ihrem vierten Studioalbum 'Party On!' setzen The Dirty Denims ihre Mission fort, Spaß durch Musik zu verbreiten.

Vielleicht liegt das Markenzeichen guter "retro" orientierter Rockmusik (d.h. "retro ohne retro sein zu wollen") in dem Gefühl, dass man gerade zufällig ein Schätzchen entdeckt hat. Dieses Gefühl lässt sich nicht ganz in Worte fassen, vielleicht am ehesten noch als Mischung aus Vertrautheit und Neuentdeckung. Bei dem Kölner Quintett superfuse passt diese Beschreibung wie die Faust aufs Auge. Vor allem kommt die Musik mit ordentlichen Power-Riff-Rock-Einflüsse aus vergangener Zeit daher – von den fuzz-Gitarre-getriebenen, dunklen rhythmischen Exkursionen mancher Proto-Metal Bands der spät Sechziger und Siebziger bis hin zu den rohen, edgy-melodiös-schweren Hooks der 90er-Alt-Rock-Szene (z.B. Chevelle, Skunk Anansie, Monster Magnet oder Incubus).
Der Sound von superfuse fühlt sich an wie ein Deja-Vu, eine nachhaltige Erinnerung an etwas, was es so eigentlich nie gegeben hat.
Dabei macht die Band ganz klar ihr eigenes Ding: Krachend aber catchy. Intensiv. Erdig. Aber zugleich schwebend-hypnotisch. Buckle up, folks!

The Quakes started in the fall of 1986 in Buffalo, New York. The original members were Paul Roman on guitar and vocals, Dave “the ace” Hoy on drums and Rob Peltier on upright bass. In the beginning The Quakes were playing neo rockabilly in the vein of The Stray Cats,Rockats and Polecats. Out of frustration with a lack of response locally,The Quakes started to play a lot faster and more aggressive adding punk elements to their music. The look went from pegged pants and bowling shirts to ripped jeans and combat boots. From that point on the band would be know as a psychobilly band.
