Kumbia Ambasadors is a project comprising three Chilean musicians based in Berlin who challenge the boundaries of cumbia to transform it into a space for experimentation and resistance. Far from established formulas, the band takes the legacy of this Latin American rhythm and confronts it with the rawness of punk, the intensity of psychedelia, the power of rock, and electronic music, forging a language of its own—visceral and unpredictable.

The result is a sound that turns rebellion into an aesthetic and fusion into a statement of principles. The members’ experience—forged through years of research and practice centered on cumbia—translates into a sound that honors its roots while pushing them toward new horizons, with electric guitars, electronic textures, and a stage presence that defies labels and reaffirms music as a space of freedom.

In less than two years, Kumbia Ambasadors has performed nearly 100 concerts at various venues across Europe, taking their show to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, England, Spain, and Italy. Their tour has solidified a reputation built on their live performances: each show is an explosion of energy where the intensity on stage transforms the concert into a collective frenzy that particularly surprises those who think they know what to expect from a cumbia band.

Their debut album was recorded live at Berlin’s legendary Sisyphos, capturing the raw power of their show. They have performed at festivals such as DiMondi (Bologna), Breminale (Bremen), Karneval der Kulturen, and Fête de la Musique (Berlin), as well as sharing the stage with the explosive Mexican band Son Rompe Pera at the legendary SO36. Each of these performances confirms that Kumbia Ambasadors doesn’t just play music—they burst onto the scene, break down conventions, and turn every concert into an act of celebration, resistance, and collective catharsis.

 

 

Mosh Slam - ein Name, viele Bedeutungen, nur eine Möglichkeit
Projekte verdienen einen Namen, gute Projekte verdienen sich Variationen, die man ja nach Zustand in sich vereinen kann. 

Was passiert wenn man Männer zu lange in einen schimmligen Wurstkeller sperrt, es erzeugt einen gewissen Wahnsinn, gepaart mit Stadionrockallüren, die nicht gelebt sonder erlebt werden können. 
Kontroverse Wechsel zwischen gut und schlecht, niemals für die Masse sonder erlebt im Zwiespalt zwischen Genialität und dem ruhenden Pol einer gesteigerten Weltsicht, fern und weit genug weg im sich in der Sicherheit der Kacheln genug Energie für die Konfrontation auf der Straße und dem Weg in die natürliche Umgebung des Wesens Musik.
