For PAT TODD, Rock 'n' Roll isn't a hobby or part-time pursuit- it informs all aspects of his life and how he relates to the world. Every note and word is an evocation of yearning for the road less travelled: interstates, truck stops, roadside motels, bars and stages -love lost and found- create a web of rich experiences and fond memories that inform the nuances of his songwriting. Though PAT TODD and the RANKOUTSIDERS have five full-length albums and innumerable singles under their belts, there are no signs of stopping...

The San Francisco Bay Area punk scene has been the birthplace of legendary bands over the years such as Rancid, Dead Kennedys, Swingin’ Utters, and many, many, more. Over that time, friendships were struck between bands from this Northern California region, creating one of the most tight-knit music communities across the country. It’s this bond and mutual love for punk that forged Hunting Lions, a group of veteran Santa Cruz and Sonoma County musicians coming together with years of experience and a fresh take on the genre. This group of veterans consists of members of standout acts like The Swingin’ Utters, Roadside Bombs, The Beltones, US Bombs, Tiger Army, and more. In their relatively short time together, Hunting Lions has already shared the stage with top bands like The Toasters, Booze & Glory, The Generators, The Drowns, Riverboat Gamblers, and Manic Hispanic and will be making their Punk Rock Bowling and Rebellion Festival debuts later this year. Songs like “Dead Generation” and “The City” are poignantly crafted to criticize the socio-economic gap that widens in the Bay Area. “‘The City‘ is about the techno-gentrification of San Francisco. It’s a city that embodied working class freedom and artistic expression but has become Louis Vuitton in the fog,” says frontman Ben Coleman. Hunting Lions came together during the pandemic to write and record their debut self-titled album. Currently, the band has promo copies of their LP available on 12” black vinyl. The official release is due early this spring on Pirates Press Records. The Dirty Denims spielen Happy Hardrock: Hardrock mit Gute-Laune-Garantie. Kombiniert mit Rock ‘n Roll, Powerpop und einer Prise Punkrock klingen sie nach AC/DC, Joan Jett, Ramones und The Donnas. Live sind diese Rockchicks und -jungs in ihrem Element: die energiegeladene Show einer Band, die Spaß auf der Bühne hat, ihr Publikum mitnimmt und sich selbst nicht so ernst nimmt. 
Das niederländische Festival Lowlands beschreibt ihre Musik als tighten Punk- und Hardrock inspiriert von den Ramones und AC/DC. Frontfrau Mirjam liefert dazu eine einprägsame Stimme, die an Joan Jett und Debbie Harry erinnert. Mit ihren eingängigen Songs und ihrer mitreißenden Energie will man im Publikum die Faust in die Luft recken und laut „YEAH!“ schreien. 
The Dirty Denims haben große Festival wie Lowlands, Rockin‘ Park, Zwarte Cross und Bospop gespielt und Slash, Whitesnake, Golden Earring, Cheap Trick, Steel Panther und Thundermother supportet. Ihr Song „24-7-365“ lief in den Niederlanden landesweit in allen großen Radiostationen. 
Außerdem wurde der Song in zwei internationalen Comedy Central-Kampagnen verwendet. Ihr Song „Back With A Bang!“ wurde auf einer Compilation-CD des Classic Rock Magazine UK (Auflage ca. 70.000 weltweit) gefeaturt. 2022 spielte die Band eine Show für den deutschen WDR Rockpalast.

Auch die Rhythmusgruppe pusht ordentlich nach vorne, versteht es aber ebenso gut zu grooven. Die Produktion ist modern mit einer Prise Oldschool-Elementen.
Auch lyrisch steht das Debüt mit einem Fuß in den 80ern: Damals - als Party, Freiheit und Ekstase den Sunset Strip dominierten. Doch das ist noch nicht genug:

Formed in late 2016, London-based post-punk trio Girls In Synthesis' DIY attitude and caustic music has singled them out as one of the most intense and unique outfits in the UK. Taking their cues from legendary 1970's UK acts such as Wire, Crass and Public Image Limited, their relentless rhythmical elements owe as much to disco and dub reggae.
The band have built up a fevered fan base across the UK, with a reputation as an extraordinary live band; breaking down the musician/audience barrier by dragging equipment off the stage and playing large chunks of the shows from within the crowd. They soon became an in-demand support act for bands as disparate as Slaves, Bad Breeding, Wolf Alice, Damo Suzuki, Warmduscher and Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs. 

After taking both the UK and Europe by storm with their explosive live shows, planned dates to support the album are being scheduled for May '24. Although the band are currently tight-lipped about the forthcoming record, the resulting music can be expected to be as unique and as laser-focussed as the previous releases 'Now Here's An Echo From Your Future' (2020) and 'The Rest Is Distraction' (2022)

Die TICS aus Köln spielen Songs ihres brandneu auf Tomatenplatten erschienenen Albums "Flash Language". Post Punk? Aber Hallo! Die Jüngeren denken vielleicht an HORSEGIRL oder LiFEGUARD, die fortgeschritteneren fühlen sich vielleicht an Bands wie Q AND NOT U oder LES SAVY FAV erinnert. So stand es im Internet: "punchy rock and buttery-soft melodies are not enough for these guys. They'd rather add a pinch of funk or hectic post-punk or weird horns or sound really cheesy or... or... or"

Billy Rowan aka The Undercover Hippy has been performing at festivals since 2008, working his way up from being a solo singer-songwriter playing in small marquee stages, to now having a full band of incredible musicians and playing main-stages at some of the UK’s best independent festivals. The band have been regulars at Glastonbury, Boomtown, Electric Picnic, Eden Festival in Scotland and Beautiful Days, plus many more around the UK and Europe. They also tour extensively in the UK twice a year, playing to packed venues from Edinburgh to Penzance.
The music is best described as politically driven acoustic roots reggae folk-hop, with feel good vibes and a sly sense of humour. The live show is high energy, interactive, and always leaves the crowd begging for more. Devoted fans travel the length of the UK for shows, audibly singing along with every chorus.

An sich schon mal frech, aber beim heutigen Konzert wollen sie euch die pressfrische Schallplatte auch noch (gegen Geld!?!) andrehen. Dreist! Erstmal hören, wie das alles live klingt und hoffen, dass es schnell vorübergeht! Naja, zumindest darauf war bisher immer Verlass: Die beeilen sich!

Eine wirklich gute Nachricht ist: Vorher lüftet der promovierte Büchsenadel von DR. DOSENBIER schon mal ordentlich durch und fordert in einer anti-flaschistischen Aktion: Deutschpfand muss sterben!
