Gloin “make driving, dark post-punk” (BrooklynVegan), adding noise rock and industrial elements to their music as they tackle themes of bewilderment, dread and anger. Using bombastic rhythmic constructs, savvy arrangements and fervid melodies, the Toronto outfit put forth solemn tracks about perseverance and self-determination that are cleverly subverted through sarcastic commentary, courtesy of their sense of humor. Gloin self-released their introductory EP Soft Monster  on April 18th, 2019. For their first full-length, We Found This (October 21st, 2022 via Mothland), they elected to print alongside up-and-coming studio wizard Dylan Frankland of Tallies, later turning to music visionary Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck, METZ, Alvvays, etc.) for the mix.  Over the years, Gloin embarked on a handful of North American tours, performing at SXSW, Freakout Fest, New Colossus, Sled Island, and Treefort Music Fest, while also sharing the stage with Snapped Ankles, Osees, Amyl & the Sniffers, and A Place to Bury Strangers. All of your anger is actually shame (and I bet that makes you angry) by Gloin was released on March 28th, 2025 via Montreal imprint Mothland, earning a spot on the Long List for the 2025 Polaris Music Prize.

Temple Solaire veröffentlichten 2018 ihre erste Single „Flowing Free / Mind’s Garden“ beim Zürcher Label „Taxi Gauche“.
Seither erschienen die Singles „Bad Weed (Will Kill Your High)“, 2019 und „Clouds Repeat Themselves“, 2020.
I’m März diesen Jahres erschien nun endlich auch der erste Long Player „Past Due“! 
Die Band teilte das Line-Up u.a. mit Black Market Karma, Tess Parks, Levitation Room, gL.A. Witch, The Night Beat, Odd Couple, und den Allah-Las.

Mit einer klassischen Power-Trio-Besetzung und einer ausgeprägten Liebe für die besten britischen Psych-Pop-Sounds der 1960er Jahre lassen sich Traum von den Bands inspirieren, welche die psychedelische Ästhetik in ihren Ursprüngen definiert haben. Durch den Einsatz von Vintage-Instrumenten und -Geräten, ergänzt durch klassische Produktionstechniken, bringen Traum analoge Effekte ins Spiel – mit wahrhaft umwerfenden Ergebnissen.  Die Band beschwört die Magie der Produktionen in Traums eigenem Studio, wo auch die erste 7"-Single für das kalifornische Label Hypnotic Bridge Records entstand. Eine Nachfolger-EP ist Ende 2024 auf Tonzonen Records erschienen.

When New York hardcore was young it was known for its straightedge crews and positive hardcore…then along came SHEER TERROR and New York would never be the same. With a spit-in-your-face attitude and apathetic pride, Sheer Terror called out to the masses
and built up one of the most loyal followings of any hardcore band.
This bands career spans two decades and has spawned 3 official full length records as well as numerous EPs, 7” records, bootlegs, and re-releases. Sheer Terror has also embarked on many U.S. and European tours during their career. Anyone who was lucky enough to see this band knows that a Sheer Terror live show included all of the classic musical hits as well as the between songs rantings of frontman Rev. Paul Bearer.
The "Drop Dead And Go To Hell" CD released on Dead City was recorded in 1997 at the legendary CBGB club in New York City and this CD has all of the hits. As a bonus there is even extra banter from The Rev Paul from various shows throughout the world. Many bands today still try to capture the passion of true hated and empathy that Sheer Terror started. None can compare to the original.
When speaking of Sheer Terror the one thing comes to mind instantly is the vocalist Rev.
Paul Bearer. Paul's in between song banter became just as legendary as Sheer Terror's music itself. To put it bluntly Paul spoke his mind…and you want to talk about brutal honesty! No one was safe from Pauls twisted tongue. Not politicians, not religion, not other musicians, and especially not the audience. Dead City was lucky enough to get a hold of some pretty rare live tapes of Sheer Terror thoughout the years and compiled the best of Pauls ranting. Aptly titled "No Really Go Fuck Yourself", this limited edition colored vinyl LP released on Dead City features the best of those moments on stage when Paul decided to speak his mind. Features banter from various shows around the world throughout the bands history. No music…only words to live by!

thistles is a band hailing from Cologne/Germany. The indian/dutch/german trio has been around since 2023. The band developed it's own interpretation of a sound influenced by bands such as Unwound, The Cure, Mogwai, Shipping News, Ten Grand, Sonic Youth, or Kyuss.
A whirlwind of sometimes uncontrolled sonic chaos. A wall of sound undermined by subtle vocals.

Die Cyanide Pills sind wahrscheinlich die tollste Band der Welt…. vier Alben, eine 10’’ Live Scheibe und 10 Singles nennen sie ihr eigen, die vierte Platte „Soundtrack to the new cold war“ erschien am 4.August 2023, natürlich wieder auf Damaged Goods. Ein neues Album ist gerade in Arbeit.
Denkt an The Boys, Buzzcocks, The Briefs, Ramones und ihr wisst worauf es hier hinausläuft. Die weiße Lederjacke ist immer dabei, ebenso wie ihre bonbonfarbenen Sonnenbrillen. Diese coolen Typen spielen deine Lieblings Punkrocksongs, verpackt in Kaugummi und Zuckerwatte, mit einer sehr britisch schnoddrigen 1977er Punkattitüde, tief verwurzelt im Pubrock und Glam, und treiben das Songwriting zu totaler Perfektion. Sie singen über die gleichen sozialen Missstände in der Welt wie sie damals schon in den 1970ern herrschten. Und sie haben eine Menge Humor. Nichts ist ihnen zu ernst.
Oder vielleicht ist es das doch?
Die Cyanide Pills gründeten sich nachdem sich ein paar Kumpels, die bereits in Bands in der Leeds Punkszene umtriebig waren, entschieden, ihre Ressourcen zu sammeln und die Band zu gründen, in der sie schon immer sein wollten. Das war Mitte 2008.
Damaged Goods Records London nahm die Band gleich unter ihre Fittiche und die Debut single ‘Break It Up’ wurde Anfang 2009 veröffentlicht. Ihr selftitled Debutalbum erblicke 2010 das Licht der Welt. Und der Rest ist Geschichte.
Seitdem touren die Cyanide Pills mehrmals im Jahr durch Europa, veröffentlichen eine Single und Platte nach der nächsten, und jeder neue Song ist so wunderbar perfekt geschrieben, es ist schwer die Band nicht zu lieben.
Sie nennen sich selbst eine Bande von nicht funktionierenden Außenseitern, die schweres Gepäck mit sich rum tragen und nicht vertrauenswürdige Loser sind. Aber sie machen einen großartigen Sound.
Das ist das, was sie wirklich gut können!

Gegründet haben sie sich 1994, einige Besetzungswechsel an Gitarre und Bass sowie auch am Schlagzeug gab es seitdem, aber
niemals gab es einen Wechsel an der Energie und Spielfreude, die diese Band ausmacht!
Es macht ebenso wenig Sinn, THE VAGEENAS in Worten beschreiben zu wollen wie es Sinn machen würde, Sid Vicious
wieder auferstehen zu lassen.
Fazit: Geht zu einer Show und habt Spass!
