YAWNING MAN are considered the very founders of the desert rock movement, which was made popular by bands such as Kyuss or Queens of The Stone Age in the early 90s. While their contemporaries gravitated toward the heavy riffs of grunge, and post-punk, YAWNING MAN leaned in another direction with their unique and organic, cinematic compositions and psychedelic improvisations: the perfect soundtrack to encompass the spacious moonscape atmosphere of the well-documented "generator parties" of their area in the late 1980s. It was at these gatherings that they developed this distinctive style and sound by enchanting spectators with their seemingly endless free-form instrumental sessions, which echoed through the beautiful deserts, mesas, and landscapes of the Coachella Valley. 

SoftSun was formed in 2023 by guitarist Gary Arce (Yawning Man) and bassist/vocalist Pia Isaksen (PIA ISA). On their second album they are joined by Robert Garson on drums.  The band is experimenting with sounds and are difficult to place in a specific genre. They have a style of their own with contrasts of softness and distortion, beauty and noise and emotional peaks and valleys. The music is patient, heavy and dreamy, with haunting vocals and beautiful guitars drenched in distortion and reverb over patient and thought out drums. 
The songs are flowing slowly and take inspiration from both the Californian desert landscapes to the Norwegian oceans where the two founding members come from.  On this second record SoftSun has developed their sound further and sound both moody, experimental, beautiful, and raw.

Brooklyn-based rockers TVOD deliver emotionally charged lyrics over eclectic, infectious, minimalistic melodies, seamlessly blending post-punk, egg punk and krautrock. Since their inception in 2019, TVOD have independently released two EPs – Daisy (2020) and Victory Garden (2021) – along with a series of singles and limited edition 45’s. Known for their raw, unapologetic and unpredictable stage performances, the 6-piece has extensively toured the US, Canada and Europe, performing at major festivals like SXSW, Hopscotch, Sled Island, and Concrete Jungle, and sharing the stage with acts like Warmduscher, Snõõper, Gustaf, Civic, and Soul Glow. Fresh from recording in Montréal, Québec, TVOD – “one of [New York’s] most exciting up-and-coming bands” according to Rolling Stone – are gearing up to release their first full-length entitled Party Time. 

CARBON TWIN are a experimental rock band from Cologne since 2022. Driving grooves and riffs fused with three-part vocals and improvised solos. Music for humanity sped up by technology searching futures end in space.

Im Gegensatz zu manch anderen Rockbands leben Guitar Wolf den RocknRoll Lifestyle wie es noch kein anderer zuvor getan hat. Man hört es in ihren Songs, man sieht es auf der Bühne: Schweiß, Blut, Tränen und ungefilterte Energie resultieren in wilden zerstörerischen LoFi RocknRoll Hymnen. Das Ergebnis dieser Mischung aus Punk, Rock und Noise schuf ein ganz neues Genre, den Jet RocknRoll.
1987 haben sie sich gegründet und inzwischen ihren weltweiten Kultstatus als lauteste und verrückteste Garagen Noise Band auch auf Leinwand gebracht, im
Trash-Rock’n Roll Film „Wild Zero“.
2026 kommen sie wieder auf Tour und haben ein niegelnagelneues Album im Gepäck!

Hinter Zwakkelmann verbirgt sich Songschreiber Schlaffke Wolff aus Hamminkeln (NRW), Sänger der Punkband Schließmuskel. Bereits seit 2003 betreibt er Zwakkelmann gewissermaßen als Soloprojekt. Unterstützt wird er dabei von FC Baum am Schlagzeug und Marius OHase am Bass. Außerdem begleitet ihn häufig live „mit kleinem Besteck“ Vicky am Cajon.
Zwakkelmann stehen für geradlinige Songs mit einprägsamen Melodien. Die Stücke legen den Fokus auf Gesang und Melodie. Stilistisch bewegt sich die Band zwischen Punk, Rock, Indie-Pop, Chanson und Liedermacher-Punk.
Die deutschsprachigen Texte sind meist persönlich und autobiografisch geprägt, oft mit einem humorvollen Unterton, manchmal aber auch von leiser Melancholie. Zwischen 2004 und 2025 veröffentlichte Zwakkelmann rund 140 Songs auf neun Alben, darunter etliche Untergrund-Hits wie „Ja, vielleicht bin ich asozial“, „Dusselige Kuh“, „Ra, Ra, Ramones“, „Halleluja Punk“ und „Der erfolgloseste Musiker aller Zeiten“.
Durch zahlreiche Konzerte, Festivalauftritte (u.a. beim Ruhrpott Rodeo, Punk meets People, Wilwarin und Punk im Pott), Videoclips und originelle Aktionen erspielte sich Zwakkelmann ein stetig wachsendes Publikum.

Blaine L. Reininger — co-founder of the post-punk cult band Tuxedomoon — is hitting the road again in 2026, playing songs from his two latest albums: Ghost Festival (2024) and g Nine Times (out June 2025). Both are collections of new material, 14 songs each, written and recorded with that unmistakable mix of melancholy, electronics, and grit.
This time around, Blaine’s trading the keyboards for the guitar on most songs — revisiting classics from his solo albums (especially Night Air from 1985), dipping into the deep well of his work for theatre, film, and dance, and yes, playing a few Tuxedomoon favorites too (No Tears fans, you’re covered). His violin is still front and center where it belongs, and his voice — as direct and emotionally charged as ever — carries the weight of decades without losing any of its edge.
Joining him is longtime friend and collaborator Georgio Valentino on guitar, known for his solo work and for playing with Crime and the City Solution. Together, they’re bringing an intimate, stripped-back energy to these shows — part memory, part experiment, and very much alive.

After the untimely End of the Post-Punk Band ROSI, Mirco Rappsilber in a burst of creativity started the new duo THE CALM GREY with singer Rio (Atomic Neon). The melancholic atmosphere - often very danceable songs -, Rio's new-wavy vocals and Mirco's beautifully accented guitar deliver a great overall Post-Punk New-Wave No-Wave package.

Die Gesänge reichen von turbostaatigem Gebell, über Gang-Chöre bis nach Düsseldorf hin zu Melodien aus dem Herrenmagazin, sind dabei aber häufig am Limit. Die Gitarren bedienen sich reichlich am melodischen Punkrock auf der einen und klassischem Riffrock auf der anderen Seite der Rockklaviatur, bleiben aber immer unverkennbar. Darunter legt die Rhythmusgruppe, die in ihren anderen Bands an Postrock und Hardcore geschult ist, einen treibenden Grooveteppich. Dabei hören wir von inneren Dämonen, Fehlern, Herzeleid, Unverständnis, Selbstzweifeln und dem Willen, trotzdem den eigenen Weg bis zum Ende weiterzugehen. Am liebsten rennen, nicht laufen,
und das mit Lust auf Krach und Harmonie.
Gegründet haben sich LaBUDE im Jahr 2020 und nach zahlreichen Demotapes, im vergangenen Jahr ihre erste EP „Abschalten“ in Eigenregie im Proberaum aufgenommen und veröffentlicht. Ein erstes Album ist in Planung.
