"Child of Panoptes" ist ein Musikerkollektiv rekrutiert aus mehreren französischen Bands, die sich einer facettenreichen musikalischen Vision eines Pop- und Psychedelia-Universums verschrieben haben. Die Mitglieder entstammen legendären Gruppierungen wie The Gentlemen‘s Agreement und Le Chiffre Organ-Ization. 
Seit ihrer Gründung hat die Band bereits eine Single und eine LP auf Soundflat Records und mehrere 45s auf Disque Rogue veröffentlicht. 
Ihre Auftritte sind in unseren Breite rar gesät; nun verschlägt es sie endlich wieder nach Köln und natürlich in den Sonic Ballroom! 

 

The Drag is a new rock ’n roll band from The Hague, operating as a classic power trio consisting of Freek Struijs, Tijs Tonus and Frankie Fuzz. Together, they create raw garage rock ’n roll in the tradition of The Beat, The Kinks and The Stooges; sharp, punchy songs played straight-up, with just enough grit to keep things exciting. They are characterized by their direct, unpolished rock ’n roll sound with a clear attitude. The result is music that feels like it belongs in a sweaty basement club, somewhere halfway through a night that’s gone on just a little too long. Or maybe at the afterparty, on that last beer and last cigarette you already know you shouldn’t have, but somehow enjoy the most.
