Faintest Idea (UK) / K-Man & The 45s (CAN)
Faintest Idea started out as an angry punk band. Using their own blend of street punk with horns as a constructive release for their politics, they relentlessly toured up and down the country. Over time their 2 Tone Ska and Reggae influences started to come through to create their own blend of ‘Rude Boy Street Punk'. Summer 2012 saw the release of ‘The Voice of Treason’ on TNSrecords followed by more touring of the UK and Europe. Their well loved videos for album tracks 'Bull In A China Shop' and 'Youth' led to them being invited to do a Maida Vale session for The Mike Davies Punk Show.
In the following years they've toured and played relentlessly, playing shows and festivals all over the UK & Europe. In June 2014 the band embarked on a 10 date tour of Russia, from their energetic live performance its no surprise they have an ever growing army of loyal fans anywhere they play.
Their latest album 'Increasing the Minimum Rage' was recorded with Hieronymous Melchers (Capdown, Citizen Fish, King Prawn, Snuff) and Mastered by Massimiliano Giorgini (Anti Flag, Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Common Rider) The 11 track album features guest performances from Vic Ruggiero (The Slackers) and Sean Howe (Random Hand) and sounds heavier both musically and lyrically than their previous releases.
2018 will see the band do their first ever tour of Japan as well as multiple UK & European tours supporting Voodoo Glowskulls and The New Town Kings. With new material currently being written and recorded and a relentless touring schedule Faintest Idea never fail to get a crowd moving.
Call it what you want, we call it a rocking Ska party. Straight out of downtown Montreal, K-Man & the 45s have been bringing an edge to the Canadian ska scene for a few years now. In 2011 the boys brought you their first full length album entitled Got Me Movin' and released their first video and single The Red Guy Always Wins. Then they began playing non stop. They have now toured most of the country going from one ocean to another and word has been spreading quickly that when these guys hit the stage people tend to get wild. Is it the rockin vibe these people inject into their ska? Is it the volume and intensity for a ska show that gets them? Is it the sense of urgency they play with? Whatever it is, they tend to rock their ska so hard that people not yet familiar to ska are now getting into the wave. Often heard at a K-Man & the 45s show "man i didn't even know i liked ska, this rocks"-random rocker in you're city
The year is now 2013.The boys just released a new album called K-Man & the 45s present The Ska-mones Vol 1, a ska tribute to The Ramones! How did we get here you may ask? Well during all these shows over the last couple of years there we're times when the guys needed to play multiple sets and K-Man who was always a major fan of The Ramones song writing thought it would be a great fun way to pay tribute and make another set of music. Not knowing at the time that people would really get into the concept and began asking for recordings of The Ska-mones set....well, never one to dissapoint, here it is on cd and coming to you're town. K-Man & the 45s present The Ska-mones Vol 1.
K-Man & the 45s have shared the stage around Canada and at festivals with such groups as The Slackers, The Skatalites, Catch 22, The Brains and much much more. They headlined the first ever Montreal ska-fest evening as well as have played many others. They have headlined shows all across Canada and are prepared for much more.

He Who Cannot Be Named has been playing punk rock for over 25 years, most of that time with the legendary “Dwarves”. An original member of this San Francisco based combo, he wrote or cowrote many of your favorite tunes from the early Sub Pop albums “Blood Guts and Pussy”, and “Thank Heaven For Little Girls”. He was voted guitarist of the year by “Flipside Magazine” in 1991, but is mostly known for his unusual stage wear, or lack thereof. His trademark look can best be described as “naked and wearing a mask”. According to James Orme from Slug Magazine, He Who... is “maybe the most mysterious character in all of rock n’ roll.”
Perhaps his infamous “death hoax” has something to do with this air of mystery. “Sputnik Music” published an account of this macabre bit of rock history.
In 1993 the band (Dwarves) issued a press release stating their guitarist HeWhoCannotBeNamed had been stabbed to death in Philadelphia. Though this later turned out to be a hoax, the band even went as far as to attach a tribute to the "late" guitarist on their 1993 Sub Pop-released album “Sugarfix”.
Sub Pop did not respond well to the hoax and summarily dropped the band from its label.
Finally, in the summer of 2010, He Who Cannot Be Named released his first solo album titled “Sunday School Massacre” to rave reviews. AMP called it “one of the most important punk rock releases in recent memory”, and went on to say that it “is everything you would come to expect from the guy responsible for most of the nasty riffs that kicked your ass when you were back in high school”.
This year saw the release of “The Dwarves Are Born Again”, their latest and final(?) album. This record features several He Who... penned songs and presents his own signature dance craze, “Do the Hewhocannotbenamed”. He Who... recently teamed up with UK drummer Spike T Smith, known for his work with “Morrissey”, “Conflict”, “The Damned” and, most recently, Steve Ignorant (former front man of “Crass”). A second album “Humaniterrorist” is due out next year sometime as well.
PUKE N GRIN ,hailed as one of the most thought provoking acts of the decade, are a bunch of guys playing their dirty mixture of hardrock and punk, with just a tablespoon of british steel seasoned with little bits of some other rather secret ingredients. We just call it PIGROCK !

THE DUKES OF HAMBURG - Deutschlands Beatband Nr. 1

Lene Lovich Band (UK) / Barbara Gogan (UK)
Detroit-born legendary post-punk pop singer Lene Lovich hit the top of the UK charts with her single “Lucky Number” in 1979, and was crowned the “Queen of Quirk”, influencing a generation of pop and alternative acts, from Nina Hagen to Boy George, and from Madonna to Dresden Dolls. A normally reclusive figure, Lovich turned her back on the limelight after her third album No Man’s Land was released in 1982 amid disagreements with her record company about her unwillingness to compromise her groundbreaking visual style for the then newly emergent MTV. Subsequently she has recorded only two albums in the next thirty years. Lovich’s unique vocal and visual style, along with her catchy but experimental songwriting, has exerted a huge influence over alternative pop culture and garnered her many plaudits and continued interest. She has been described as everything from “Kate Bush on acid” to “the New Wave Maria Callas”. Her hits “Lucky Number”, “Say When”, “Bird Song” and “New Toy” are still regular features in the clubs and radio of Europe, Japan, Australia and the USA.
In May 2012, Lene joined forces with Subterraneans frontman Jude Rawlins for a celebration of the music of German composer Kurt Weill. During the tour they hatched an idea to form a new band to take Lene’s classic material back on the road. Very soon, however, it was realised by all concerned that whilst the band was brilliantly adept at celebrating Lene's history, it was something more than that. Turning down lucrative offers to play nostalgia tours, they instead furnished themselves with a DIY manifesto and christened themselves the LENE LOVICH BAND, diving into the sweaty rock clubs of Europe without a safety net and coming up, n the words of one reviewer, "festooned with metaphorical bouquets".
At present, the band's set is a rotation of songs from Lene's back catalogue, in particular her much celebrated first three albums, although some scene-stealing goodies from her last studio album Shadows and Dust, as well as B-sides and obscurities have also made the setlist.
The Lene Lovich Band are: Lene Lovich (vocals), Jude Rawlins (guitar), Kirsten Morrison (keyboards), Valkyrie (bass) and Morgan King (drums).
There is no code of dress, only honour.
Barbara Gogan, Sängerin der post-punk -new wave Band "The Passions" eröffnet das Vorprogramm.
